GAMS v28.2 for PC Windows

Description

• Critical Bug Fix: The main reason for the 28.2.0 minor release was to fix an issue present in the previous 28.1.0 release related to model generation optimization. In rare cases, this issue could cause incorrect results without an error or crash to alert the user, so an update was strongly encouraged.
• Solver Updates: The release included updated libraries for various integrated solvers:
  • BARON: Updated to new libraries (version 19.7), with new relaxations and branching rules for nonconvex mixed-integer quadratic programs, increased robustness, and enhanced convexity recognition routines.
  • MOSEK: Introduced power and exponential cones, improved presolve for conic problems, and better performance on modern AMD and AVX-512 CPUs.
  • SCIP: Added support for logical functions (bool_and, bool_eqv, etc.) and updated to new libraries (SCIP 8.0, PaPILO 2.1). 

GAMS Studio Enhancements: The accompanying GAMS Studio (version 0.12.3) also saw stability and performance improvements:

• Added a GAMS Solver Option Editor to view and edit solver-specific option files.
• Renamed the “Option Editor” to “Parameter Editor” for clarity.
• Added a menu entry to delete scratch directories, which helps manage cases where GAMS returns a “Too many scratch directories” error.
• Improved keyboard navigation and added file associations/icons for .gms and .gdx files on macOS
