Description

Rocscience Dips software is designed for the interactive analysis of orientation-based geological data. It provides graphical and statistical tools to visualize orientation vectors, density contours, planes, intersections, and traverses. Users can draw user-defined planes, sets, and annotative tools, and identify critical zones, vectors, and intersections on a stereonet overlay. Dips is capable of kinematic and jointing analysis, including planar and wedge sliding, as well as direct and flexural toppling failure modes. It also offers joint spacing calculations, Rock Quality Designation (RQD) analysis, and joint frequency counts. The software integrates seamlessly with other Rocscience tools like UnWedge, RocSlope2, and RocTunnel3. Perform jointing analysis with three built-in options: Joint Spacing calculates true or apparent spacing between a set’s joints, RQD Analysis assesses Rock Quality Designation, and Joint Frequency counts joint occurrences along each 1D distance interval, on a linear or borehole traverse. Identify critical zones, vectors, and intersections on a stereonet overlay with the kinematic analysis of planar and wedge sliding, or direct and flexural toppling failure modes. Export kinematic results to Excel, containing critical vectors and intersections for all failure modes.
